Polpette with tomato sauce

  • 200 g Ground beef
  • 400 g tomato sauce
  • 60 g Spaghetti
  • 1 Eggs
  • 1 Onions
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese shavings
  • 30 mL Olive oil
  • 2 pinch Salt
  • 2 pinch Pepper


  • Peel and finely chop the onion.
  • Wash and chop the basil and the parsley.
  • Prepare the tomato sauce: in a frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Fry the onion and the basil for 2 minutes and add the tomato sauce.
  • Add salt and pepper and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti following the instructions on the package.
  • Prepare the meatballs: in a salad bowl, mix the ground meat, the egg, the parsley, the parmesan and the breadcrumbs.
  • Add salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Form nut size meatballs.
  • In a frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and brown the meatballs on all its sides by carefully stirring them with a wooden spatula.
  • Be careful not to clutter the frying pan.
  • Put them on a paper towel.
  • Drain the spaghetti.
  • Put them on a serving dish.
  • Put the meatballs on it, cover with the tomato sauce and sprinkle with basil.
  • Serve the polpette in tomato sauce on a bed of spaghetti.
