Pizza Margherita

  • 1 Pizza dough
  • 100 g Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
  • 200 g mesclun
  • 100 mL Tomatocoulis
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon Whole-wheat flour
  • 15 mL Olive oil
  • 5 mL balsamic vinegar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 garlic clove


  • Preheat the oven to 475 °F.
  • Peel and crush the garlic.
  • Rinse and chop the basil.
  • Wash and cut the tomato into fine rounds.
  • Prepare the sauce by mixing the tomato pulp, 1 tablespoon of basil and garlic. Set aside.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured baking sheet.
  • Cover the dough with tomato sauce.
  • Cut the mozzarella into slices and put them on the pizza with the tomato rounds.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and drizzle with olive oil. Add salt and pepper.
  • Put in the oven for 10-15 minutes on a baking tray until the dough is crisp.
  • In the meantime, rinse and drain the mixed greens.
  • In a salad bowl mix it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. Add salt and pepper.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven, drizzle with a dash of olive oil and sprinkle with the remaining basil and cut into 4 parts.
  • Serve the pizza Margherita hot, along with the mixed green salad.
