Macaroni gratin

  • 240 g Macaroni
  • 2 Eggs
  • 200 g Ground veal
  • 100 g Ground pork
  • 1 Lettuce
  • 1 Onions
  • 120 g grated cheddar cheese
  • 500 mL Milk, 2%
  • 10 g Margarine, soft polyunsaturated
  • 1 teaspoon Curry powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 30 mL Olive oil
  • 10 mL Wine vinegar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper


  • Cook the macaroni in a saucepan with salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
  • In the meantime, shred and mix the ground veal and pork.
  • Beat the eggs and add the milk.
  • Preheat the oven to 410 °F.
  • Peel and slice the onion; stir-fry in 10 ml of margarine.
  • Add the meat. Mix everything well.
  • Add the curry and paprika.
  • When the meat is lightly grilled, incorporate the macaroni. Mix and season with salt and pepper.
  • Grease a gratin dish with the remaining margarine.
  • Fill with the macaroni and meat mixture and then add the eggs mixed with milk.
  • Cook in the oven for 25 minutes and brown under the grill for 5 minutes.
  • Wash the lettuce and season with vinaigrette made of olive oil and wine vinegar.
  • Serve the macaroni gratin along with lettuce salad.
